Is Your Tire Pressure Light Illuminated?

Cars made in the past 10 to 15 years have an electronic sensor in each wheel that detects tire pressure. When the tire pressure is lower than the manufacturer requires, the sensor causes a light on your dashboard to illuminate. This is a sure sign to check your tire pressure.

The light could go off when the temperature drops. For each 10-degree Fahrenheit drop, the tire loses 1.0 psi. Even when the weather is consistent, natural loses amount to about 1.5 psi every month. A puncture could also cause a loss of pressure.

Visit us at Fayetteville Dodge Ram for a tire pressure check. If the tire pressure is within normal limits, our technicians will check out the sensor to see if it needs to be replaced. We offer a full set of services for your car.
